Founder:  Kelly Jay Stephens

Blast Off Music Productions founder, Kelly Jay Stephens, , picked up a ukulele at the age of four and by the time he was twelve, he was playing guitar and keyboards professionally in local nightclubs.

At the age of fifteen, Kelly had become an accomplished guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist and musical arranger, performing in concerts and recording studios. By seventeen, Kelly's performing and arranging abilities gained him an invitation to be an understudy in the Frank Sinatra Quintet.

Kelly´s versatility in playing various styles of music such as Rock, Blues and Pop afforded him to share the stage with Huey Lewis and the News, The Pretenders, Rita Coolidge, The Knack, the Motels, Greg Kihn, America, Oingo Boingo and blues greats, B.B. King and Angel South.

In the Country arena, Kelly performed at the Grand Ole Opry, where he was billed with many well known country stars including artists Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Garth Brooks, Kris Kristofferson, Jesse Colter, Waylon Jennings, Tanya Tucker, Trisha Yearwood, Dan Seals and Roger Miller to name a few. Kelly also played with the first country music band event to perform on the stage of the San Francisco Opera House during the annual performing artist's fund-raiser "Fol de Rol" hosted by Dudley Moore.

For two consecutive years, 1990 and 1991 Kelly was awarded "Piano Player of the Year" and in 1992, "Entertainer of the Year" from the California Country Music Association. In recent years Kelly has performed in the band Pablo Cruise and recorded on " Back With A Vengeance", the latest album from Stoneground which is being rereleased by Blast Off Music Productions in May of 2010.

Kelly´s current projects include the composition, production and performance of original music for the 2009 Season of " Experience El Dorado", Todd Stanley Productions (Deadliest Catch), which airs on ABC Affiliates in Sacramento, San Diego and San Francisco and the Feature Film " July Moon", Tranquility Pictures, LLC.

An accomplished composer, Kelly is currently working on an audio Geo Travel series entitled, Blast Off Geo Tours and is currently playing with the Karaoke Killers All Star Band at special events and concerts.
